Post It! Pretty!

Photobucket

Here is an easy and special gift that anyone can make and give away! It is a post it note holder that a is 4 x 6 clear frame with a post it note pad on the outside of the frame. It is a nice desk decoration that is both functional and pretty.

I simply decorated a 4 x 6 piece of Card stock and made the center section for the post it note pad. I pieced the 4 x 6 piece about 80% and then put in the frame. Then I continued to decorate with some flower embellishments and the note pad on the outside.

The note pad can be replaced when used up as well. I just used a good strong glue strip to hold it in place and that could be repeated.

Special Thank You Card for our Food Fair Ladies!

Photobucket

We just had our 3rd annual Food Fair at my place of work, a Jewish Temple and once again it was awesome! The food was outstanding and we had such a crowd that we ran out of food!

I made this card for each of our wonderful Food Fair Chairs, Alison, Marilyn, and Sherron. Three great ladies who worked hard for several long months.

I used our new Veranda creative basics paper, that I feel is both elegant and classy for any look. The colors are so pleasing! I also wanted to try a new flower technique with spraying paper circles, crumpling and then accordion folding to make a flower. This technique was carefully laid out in the latest April issue of Scrapbooks, Etc. magazine. Try it. It is really not hard at all.

Thank you again ladies for ALL you do! Love, Dina:)

"B" is for Baby!

Photobucket

My niece is having a baby boy and I wanted to make her a very special card for her baby shower. Her theme is a Jungle Theme, so I knew our Life is a Jungle stamp set was the one to use. Also our new Caboodle paper had the perfect whimsy yet not too girly look that was perfect for "Gavin".

I stamped the animals and then used my watercolor pencils to color them in and then cut them out. I did use pop dots to add dimension. I used hemp to create the look of a vine to have the monkey and toucan hang on.

Thanks for Looking! Dina

A "Manly" Card

Photobucket

Even men like getting cards, especially hand made ones just for them! Here is a Birthday Card I made with scrap pieces of paper and a little ribbon. The print
B&T paper had some cute pics left in it to spotlight, so I cut those out and framed them.

The title, stamped with some of CTMH's letters - "On the road again" inside, " to another Birthday" really seemed to go with the paper! and of course the added Love Bug stamp for a special effect! I know you may not see it but there are some candles hiding in between the car and road sign for some birthday humor.

Remember, anything is possible and you can do it with a even scrap pieces of paper!

Proof even Non-crafty's can make Cards!

I had the pleasure of conducting a card making class at an area Church's' Women's retreat this weekend. There were 30+ women there and several made the comment, "Oh, I can't do this. I am not crafty!"

I did make it easy for everyone and already cut the paper into pieces for the card. And no sooner than they started paper piecing, it hit! The crafting bug bit them all and they were off to finding their crafty self!!! I wish I had pictures to share with you of all the wonderful cards they made but...Maybe they will long on and share!

They were amazing!!!! I brought just some of the basics like flowers, sparkles, buttons and they used them all. They had great ideas. And the ones that said they couldn't, well they were the BEST of all.

So... Thinking you can't do it?!?!? Well, I challenge you. Ask me to do a workshop and I will prove to you, YOU CAN!!!! I double dog dare you!!! And the workshop is my treat! Just email me today - dinaloves2scrap@bellsouth.net
